jesters
Finally, I have found the kind of art I want to create. The surreal piano with a cocked head and odd shaped violin is unique and stands out well. Jesters has changed my art in ways I can only imagine.
The walnut wood used came from a tree grown on a farm near Branson Missouri and cut at a local Amish sawmill.
The inspiration for jesters came as I was watching a fiddle player in Branson Missouri throw his head back, kick his leg high into the air and yell Happy, Happy, Happy. I started thinking of how to make a violin look like its head is cocked back, kicking a leg. Difficult, when you consider violins don’t have legs.
